Description
The REID Lifting T Davit (Shackle Head) is an ultra-portable, high-strength aluminium crane system designed for versatile material handling, confined space access, and fall protection. Combining exceptional structural strength with lightweight mobility, this modular davit is engineered to tackle demanding work environments across UK water treatment plants, offshore platforms, construction sites, and plant rooms.
Built for multi-purpose utility, the T Davit delivers a Safe Working Load (SWL) of up to 300kg for goods and 150kg for personnel (including fall arrest application for a single user).
ℹ️ Capacity Note: Load limits depend on your selected reach option—always consult the datasheet for specific SWL restrictions on Beam Size 4.

Key Benefits & Operational Advantages
360° Continuous Rotation Under Load
Featuring a patented integrated bearing system, the T Davit offers full 360-degree rotation even under its maximum load capacity. This allows operators to achieve millimeter-exact positioning in tight, awkward, or restricted access areas.
Rapid, Tool-Free Deployment
Constructed from lightweight, high-tensile aluminium, the two-piece modular structure can be easily transported, set up, and operated by a single technician without specialist tools. This significantly cuts setup downtime and reduces manual handling risks.
Dual-Rated Safety & Compliance
Fully certified to EN795:2012 standards, the double shackle head design accommodates both material hoists and fall arrest blocks simultaneously, giving teams reliable safety protection during man-riding, confined space entry, or emergency rescue scenarios.
Marine-Grade Durability & ATEX Options
The clean, anodized surface finish protects against corrosion, saltwater spray, and harsh industrial environments. Standard units are rated for ATEX Zone 2 atmospheres, with ATEX Zone 1 configurations available for explosive or hazardous sites.
Primary Applications & Industry Uses
-
Water & Utilities: Ideal for lowering/raising pumps, valves, and monitoring equipment in pumping stations, sewer networks, and manholes.
-
Confined Space Entry & Rescue: Provides a secure EN795 anchor point for personnel descent, fall arrest, and emergency casualty retrieval.
-
Marine & Offshore Facilities: Built for non-corrosive performance on docks, vessels, and offshore rigs during engine room and deck maintenance.
-
HVAC & Industrial Plant Rooms: Perfect for maneuvering chillers, ductwork, and machinery in tight indoor plant areas where permanent cranes can’t fit.
-
Rope Access & Construction: Trusted by rope access technicians for safe ascension, descent, and material hoisting on building facades and towers.
