From the workshop to the water! 🌊🔧

Remember that clever flood defence gate project we shared during its build stage? We’ve just been sent these fantastic final images of the system being installed on-site, and it looks incredible!

Seeing a massive, heavy marine barrier get lowered into position really shows the true scale of the project. You can see the crane positioning the gate into the sheet-piled channel. Also you can see the gate is being successfully submerged, and right there in the foreground is our heavy-duty, pedestal-mounted Gebuwin manual winch and tension-balanced pulley system, ready to control it.

When you're dealing with critical infrastructure like flood defences, simplicity and absolute reliability are everything. No complex electronics or power dependencies to worry about—just pure, dependable mechanical advantage that works exactly when it's needed most.

A huge shoutout to the team on site for a brilliant installation. We absolutely love seeing our gear out in the wild doing what it does best! ⚙️💪

We absolutely love seeing our clients take our gear and run with it! Check out this clever flood defence gate project that came together with incredible Gebuwin engineering and some smart thinking on site.

The challenge: Lifting a massive, heavy marine barrier perfectly level from both ends so it doesn't jam.

The solution: A robust Gebuwin manual winch from Winches UK and a brilliant, tension-balanced pulley system. The result is a smooth, balanced lift that turns a single manual input into a powerful, dual-point action.

It's a fantastic example of simple, dependable mechanical advantage. No complex electronics to fail—just great design, solid construction, and a reliable solution.

Need a reliable lifting or pulling solution for your next project? Get in touch with Winches UK, the home of @Gebuwin quality in the UK.
